The Flood!

The Wolf River is about a half mile straight back from our house. We had some fierce storms come through last weekend that dumped 12 inches of rain our way. The Memphis reservoirs backed up and the Wolf River couldn't drain into the Mississippi fast enough, so it came right up into our backyard! It looked like we were livin' in the bayou! We tried to find someone with a canoe, so we could explore the forest, but to no avail. The kids tromped on the sport court tiles which were floating about 4 inches above the concrete!

So glad the water stopped where it did!

Holy moly! That's a little too close for comfort! How do you think your tennis court will fare after the water recedes?

I had to laugh when you said you were looking for a canoe. That's so you - spontaneous and fun, no matter the circumstances! Miss you!

Oh my -- has it gone down yet?

Oh my I had no idea your backyard was hit that hard. Do you have tons of bugs now? Yikes I'm glad your house sits up away from the tennis court.

I heard the Wolf River flooded and I thought about your family.

Didn't you want a pool back there too! Glad your house was spared. We look forward to seeing you in dry Utah.
