I'm home and all went well. I went into the mammogram place yesterday morning to have two guide wires inserted to mark the location for surgery. Then I went over to the outpatient surgery center for my lumpectomy. After many tries at finding a vein to start an IV, they finally decided to just use my port-a-cath. I was ready to be knocked out then! I was given the choice whether I wanted a local anesthetic or general -- without hesitation I said GENERAL! Who would want to be awake to see that?!
The surgery was great and now I'm home popping pain killers! My Dad and Mom are taking over the household for me.
One more thing over with!
